Dreamalot Books is located on Hwy 52, 123B South Goose Creek Blvd. in Goose Creek, South Carolina. You will find us just inside the Goose Creek city limits in a strip mall with Allstate Ins. and Merrill Cox Law Office. The strip mall is located on the right hand side of the road across the street from the Waffle House. If you make it to the red light you went too far.      Local poet Linda Annas Ferguson will be here on Wednesday, October 3rd from 1-3PM with her book Bird Missing from One Shoulder. "Her poetry renders the beauty and sadness of life's transience. They not only depict an individual life, but also a way of life now vanished from the Southern landscape." says author Ron Rash.

Gift Certificates
Want to give a favorite someone a book but not sure what they've read. Dreamalot Books offers gift certificates in $5 increments that can be used for books. movies, music or other giftables. Our gift certificates make a great present for the reader in your life without risking getting them a book they've already read. Available all year round.

Dreamalot Books Trade Policy
     For adult paperbacks 30% of publisher's price is credited toward other books. There is a service fee of five cents for every dollar credit with a minimum of $1 for paperbacks. (Just a little to help keep the lights on.) We do not have a policy of trading genre for genre. Bring in what you have and get what you want. Hardbacks and trade-size paperbacks are traded two for one with a ten cent per book service fee. Hardbacks in the store that are priced $5.00 and under are considered tradable. Children's and young adult books are traded two for one with no service fees. Adult paperback and youth credits are not exchangeable. Videos, music CDs and cassettes are traded two for one with no service fees. Videos are also separated between children's cartoons and full-length films. Book credit may be taken for music CDs and videos as well, but CDs and videos may not be purchased with book credit. Comics are traded two for one with no service fee. Comics only trade for comics. Audio books also trade two for one for audio books listed $7.00 and under.

     All items for exchange need to be in good condition. We do not give credit for clipped corner books or books with loose or missing pages or covers, nor do we accept the old white Harlequin Romance, Harlequin Presents, Precious Gems, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias, and some textbooks. (Please note we do accept series romances.) For videos and music items, cases need to be included. No bootlegs or hometaped movies accepted. Audio books must have all CDs or tapes and case. Dreamalot Books reserves the right to deny any item for credit for any reason.

     For more information on the trade policies please stop by the store. We do realize there is a lot involved in the trade policies because we do accept items in trade that other book exchanges will not accept. Don't worry, Dreamalot Books will make sure you get a good deal!

There are no fees to use the lending library. Just fill out an information sheet and get a card. At present we have material available for all grade levels in a variety of subjects. Availability of material depends on donations and may vary depending on usage. Donations of books and curriculum for all grades to the library are always welcome. (Please note that donations of fiction books are not accepted by the lending library due to limited space and availability of fiction in the store at very low to no cost. All fiction may be traded in the store for book credit.) Volunteers for organizing the library are always appreciated.

Read To Succeed Program




Students Bring In Your Gently Used Books For A Two-For-One Trade at Dreamalot Books, and Receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate For Your Teacher!

HOW IT WORKS


The Read To Succeed Program is designed to encourage our kids to read as well as help provide teachers with much needed books for their classrooms. NO money is required to participate in the program. Simply have your students bring in books they've already read or outgrown to Dreamalot Books. Students will be given a two-for-one store credit towards other used books. In addition to getting books they haven't read, the student will also receive a five-dollar gift certificate to Dreamalot Books for their teacher. This may not sound like a lot, but keep in mind the majority of children and teen books at Dreamalot Books sell for fifty cents or less. A five dollar gift certificate could get you up to ten chapter books or as many as fifteen younger childrens' books. Availability of books depends on what the students bring in and will change almost every day. The gift certificates have no expiration date and may be used at any time for any book purchase made at Dreamalot Books. Please note no change will be given and no other discounts apply when using a gift certificate. The Read To Succeed Program is available to all local area middle and elementary schools and is one small way that the entire community can aid in providing our children with the resources needed to give them the education they deserve. Dreamalot Books would also like to remind all teachers at all grade levels, public and private that teachers receive a 10% discount on all purchases for their classrooms.
